YOU CANNOT

FIND YOURSELF

UNTIL YOU LOSE

YOURSELF.

  2. Hmmm, i guess that's true. I mean i guess you can't find something if you know where it is.

  5. actually, no, it's not a "famous quote", as far as i know. i made it up. maybe it will become famous someday!

  6. yes, because until you realize your not the real you, you can't find your real self.

  7. I think I've heard it before to so it may just be one of those phrases people say like "If at first you don't succeed, try again" but less popular.

  8. i know what this saying reminds me of! you know how people say you never really know what you have until it's gone, it reminds me of that. what do you think?

  10. hey ny94: really? awww, i thought i was the first one to think of it! i thought i made it up. i'm so disappointed.

beachbum, it's kinda similar, but the 2 phrases have very different meanings.

star, i believe it's spelled "debating".

  11. so most of us agree on the sentence i wrote. ok. but just how DO you find yourself?

  12. yes griffin, you are quite right. the two saying do have very different meanings. your saying is more of a personal relationship with yourself. where mine is a relationship with another person. but they still remind me of one another. talk to you later.

  13. Finding yourself is incredibly hard, Griffinrider. Even if you were to find yourself in the midst of the world, you could lose it again. Every day you are changing, every year you're different from the last. I don't think there is a way to find yourself, you just have to let it come to you. Just go with the flow, and let things fall into place.

Of course, those are just thoughts from your average kid. Who, he himself, has yet to find out who he is.

  17. that's great! where did you find that quote? sorry i've been off for a while. =]

    PS
    ... how are you?

  18. i'm fine, thanks. and as i said before, i'm not quoting anyone, i made it up! why doesn't anyone believe me?!?!

  19. while i agree that that statement holds truth i have to say that personally i've gone as far away from my personal being as physically possible and coming back to who i am is easy enough. at least in the sense that i can project that person whereas my real being is still at odds with itself. i wish it were as easy as finding myself again but fact is that after losing myself, my subconsiousness perfers being away from it.

and now my attention span has reached it's end partly because my dad just turned a song a haven't heard since i was very very little. so g'night for now

  25. But before we lose ourselves, we have to discover who we are.
